There were several sections on new training methods, and explained in easy to understand terms, the proper methodology in developing a training program. Lots of great ideas on a difficult subject. All learning experiences are very complete in description and materials needed. If you can't find something in here to introduce cultural differences, I would be very surprised. The variety is excellent as well. I recommend this book as a reference for any Training need in culture. I am actually adapting one of the games to a corporate culture experience rather than ethnic or geographic.

Only a few useful activities

While I did pull a few things from the book that helped me develop some discussion points for my course, I found that for the most part, the activities were either too tedious and complicated or too simplistic. Of all that were presented, I only found 2 or 3 that I would seriously consider using in a classroom. Not an especially valuable resource.

**Calm Trader Is A Winner**

This was one of the most amazing books I've ever read on trader psychology. I felt extremely inspired after reading each chapter in this book. Not only was it short and to the point, but it kept me engaged the whole time. It is true that succeeding in the markets in (1/3) logic and (2/3) psychology. This is another winner in Steve's arsenal of published books. And for only $2.99, you are doing yourself a disservice by not giving it a try.

Well-researched and Updated Sales Information For Today

I loved this book. It is practical, relevant for today, and backed up with solid, scientific research (not just hunches or “gut feelings”). Graham Jones has done the research and refers to what other credible sources have done to make this a must-read book for those of us who have to sell in order to eat.

Jones gets very specific in his statements and they are backed up with evidence, not just hype or feelings. A big question today is about the effectiveness of email marketing vs. using social media. Fair enough question and Jones doesn’t beat around the bush. Here’s one example he cites:

… these dramatically higher conversion rates for emails are only occurring for businesses which put a great deal of effort into two key aspects of emails:
1. The subject line 

2. The deep personalisation of the message 

(note the British spelling of “personalisation” showing he really is British!)

if you are in sales today, and want to be effective, this is a must-read book. It presents the information updated for today’s world, while embracing time-honored concepts which have been with us for a long time —- and will work for a long time. Started out great, but then goes downhill...

There's a lot of things in this book that I liked, and there's a lot that I really didn't like. I thought the first half of the novel was pretty good. The relationship between Heather and Cole starts out great. It's a story about a step-brother and sister who start to have feelings for each other. Cole is a typical DP alpha male, and Heather is likable enough (at least at first). The best thing about this story is how DP shows the transition from a platonic relationship to a romantic relationship.

Then, enter in the jealous, scheming ex-girlfriend and all goes wrong in this book. I hated where the plot went halfway through. Cole turns from a sexy, intelligent character, into a complete idiot. Even when he realizes his mistakes, he still cannot admit he was wrong, and continues screwing everything up, which was annoying since this lasted up until the last two pages of the novel.

Other annoying aspects of this book were Heather's repetitive need to whine about how innocent she was, and how sex to her is like the scariest thing ever. If you're looking for some steaminess, this is not the book for you - there is none. Also, Cole's smoking habit is a huge turn-off, especially the way DP uses it to try and make him look sexy. I literally took a black marker to my copy of the novel and blacked out all the parts where Cole is puffing away (which unfortunately is in almost every scene he's in).

I will say that with all the flaws in this book, I do find myself rereading it from time to time. I usually read the first half then skim the rest since the second half of the book is so awful. As I said, there are some things in this book that DP did really well. Unfortunately, other aspects of the novel prevent it from being a great read.

It moves a place in your soul.

This book is one you can readn a thousand times and it will still be new. The haunting story line will make you cry. It will also make you hate the man --Cole. But you get over that soon enough.. All in all it is a superbly written novel. Love, betrayal, anger and forgiveness are interwoven in this clssic Palmer novel

If you look at a 1000 romance novels and you can only choose one, choose this one. I have read this atleast 20 times. This is my favorite romance novel of all time and I read alot of romance novels.
