My son was diagnosed with autism a couple of months ago and I didn't really know where to begin. We signed him up for therapy and we had to go to a session for parents (highly recommend any parent with an autistic child does the same). This book is great because it's aimed at parents and written in an easy-to-understand language. The first couple of chapters go through what many of us have gone through using a family's story of how their journey began and progressed. What I found unique about this book is that it really made me feel like I'm not alone and that there are people out there that get what we as parents are going through.

This was recommended to me by one of our doctors, and of the several books on autism I have read in the last year since receiving the diagnosis, this was the best. I would definitely recommend it.
